Post-Event Report
The 2024 Bindrite meeting has come to an end, and we are back in our offices reflecting on what we discussed and learned.
The meeting took place at the Mission Inn resort, in a beautiful part of Florida. The meeting was organized by the Bindrite board members and Al Boese.
The Bindrite meeting has several components that all make for a meaningful event filled with innovations. There are vendor presentations, private sessions, a luncheon, and a members only discussion session. Each of these meeting components serves a different purpose that benefits attendees, no matter their role in the industry.
Various sponsors and partners were present to showcase their products to the Bindrite members. This meeting was especially important with how speedily changes happen in our industry. These days the pace of innovation is extremely high, and our customers have a wide variety of excellent applications to consider.
Partners like MBM, Formax, Akiles, and Rhin-O-Tuff were there showing some of their new products, programs, and innovations. Some of these are behind-the-scenes programs helped to create opportunities for customers. Rhin-O-Tuff shipped in one of their Tornado V2 machines for live demonstrations to show off the new changes.
There were some other excellent product announcements that will be coming to market later this year, stay tuned!
Databind and FuseFX had some excellent programs. The Revo series of laminators is an excellent product for offices, schools, churches and other low volume applications. There are many target markets for these machines: print for pay, commercial, energy, and health care. But education is a large market as well. Did you know that out of 13,000 public school districts, less than 10% currently use automatic laminating! This is a huge opportunity to provide higher productivity to education workers who can save valuable time by switching away from manual lamination.
Revo laminators are inexpensive, user-friendly, and save a huge amount of time. Databind is also a supplier of high-end mechanical binding machines for punching, spiral binding, and coil forming.
Importance of Industry Events
Industry events held by groups like BindRite are valuable for keeping a pulse on what is happening during a time when change is coming rapidly. Suppliers, vendors, dealers, manufacturers, and end users are all experiencing new types of pressure. Changing motivations cause new patterns in behavior that the players in the industry are always working to adapt to. Being in the right place, at the right time, with the right product is a trifecta that cannot be beat. However, predicting those changes accurately is nearly impossible without a lot of research and time investment. We keep up on these trends so you can focus on your core business.
