Horizon is pleased to introduce the new Horizon HT-1000V Three-knife Trimmer, capable of one-to-one variable trimming in-line with Horizon perfect binders, or off-line. The trimmer features automated set-up by reading a barcode printed on the cover of each book, with no operator input required, and trims up to 1,000 books of variable thickness and format size per hour. Both untrimmed and trimmed sizes can be variable for true variable format production. Designed to run in a 24/7 production environment, the HT-1000V offers high productivity and heavy duty construction for consistent high quality finishing.
Book trimming is a mandatory process for manufacturing high quality books. The clean cut on the head, foot, and face of the book will give it the final complete look that a customer expects. Being able to dynamically change the cut sizes for different books is part of what makes this trimmer unique.
